The German Harvest Festival, or Erntedankfest, has been the German tradition for giving thanks for a harvest, to sustain the community for another year. Come to a full-course German dinner at the Turn Verein, featuring Kasseler Rippchen (Smoked Pork Chops) and Sauerkraut, as well as traditional fixings, and homemade dessert. Enjoy the procession of German farmers in their work clothes, displaying their work tools and other farming equipment.
